Owned and operated by Mark and Gale Smith since 1995, Shadow Ridge Ranch is both a working ranch and a wildlife refuge.  Home to native turkey, deer, bobcat, and other assorted critters, Shadow Ridge Ranch is dedicated to maintaining a healthy habitat for all.

The first non-native inhabitant to the ranch was Snowflake, a Longhorn-Brangus mix.  She has since been joined by others of her kind, and now we have a herd.

Shadow Ridge Ranch has two lakes, stocked with bluegill, bass, and channel catfish.  The lakes are also enjoyed by numerous birds, as the ranch is located on the migration route for many species of birds.  Native birds abound in the grasslands, hay fields and heavy oak timber on the ranch.  Balancing wildlife with agriculture is what Shadow Ridge Ranch is all about.
