"A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both." ~ Dwight D. Eisenhower - Inaugural Address, January 20, 1953
Welcome to Shadow ridge ranch, montague, texas!
Owned and operated by Mark and Gale Smith since 1995, Shadow Ridge Ranch is both a working farm and a wildlife refuge. Home to native turkey, deer, bobcat, and other assorted critters, Shadow Ridge Ranch is dedicated to maintaining a healthy habitat for all.
Shadow Ridge Ranch has two ponds, stocked with bluegill, bass and channel catfish. The ponds are also enjoyed by numerous birds, as the Ranch is located on the migration route for many species of birds. Native birds abound in the grasslands, hay fields, scrub oak, and heavy oak timber on the Ranch. Balancing wildlife with agriculture is what Shadow Ridge Ranch is all about.
